Six Year Olds With Fashion Sense

Children enjoy seeing clothing that makes them feel special. Little girls especially like to wear clothing that makes them feel they are brightly made up like a princess or a movie star. Jessica turned six last month. She is an eager kindergartner that likes to be involved in everything. She can at times be very opinionated and sometimes, on rare occasions, forces her strong opinions on others around her.

Like any other average six year old, Jessica likes to dress up and even though she is young, she has already developed her own sense of fashion and style. Some of her favorite clothes are rhinestone t shirts that have a little studded rhinestone collar or a studded rhinestone design, such as a flower, on them. There is nothing too outrageous for this precocious six year old.

Jessica enjoys shopping and socializing with her friends as they talk about subjects that interest them. She and a friend from school have recently begun calling each other on the telephone. It is surprising that an hour can pass and the two are still engaged in conversation. At six years old, little Jessica is already an independent thinker and she knows what she likes and what she will wear. Color, style, and a fashionable little bling t shirt round out her idea of a fashionista. Soon enough she will be borrowing the car and dating, look out Mom and Dad, your little girl is growing up fast, but at least you know that she will carry her already developed sense of fashion with her as she gets older.

Tips for Going Greek

!±8± Tips for Going Greek

It is almost the beginning of a new semester, which means rush season is here! For men and women across the nation's college campuses this is a special time. It is also a special time for men and women who were part of a Greek organization like Alpha Kappa Alpha while in college because they can remember the good old days. It really is quite amazing the amount of work that goes into rush week and there are all kinds of products printed up with the organization's Greek letters to commemorate this special event.

One item that is extremely popular is Greek apparel. There are t-shirts, shorts, jackets, sweatshirts, shoelaces, ribbons, and much more all printed with the Greek letters. Greek apparel is so popular because not only do the individuals within the organization want to commemorate a special occasion, but they also want to feel included. When all the Greeks from Alpha Kappa Alpha are wearing their Greek clothes then they all feel a sense of togetherness not to mention show everyone else where they belong. Greeks are proud of their houses and proud of being part of a fraternity or sorority. So, wearing a shirt that proclaims their acceptance to a particular group is really important.

There are other Greek items that are created with the Greek organization's letters on it. Another popular one are Greek paddles. These paddles may look innocent enough with their Greek letters adorning them, but they can be dangerous. Many sororities and fraternities use these paddles to initiate their members into the group. Afterwards, they serve as a poignant reminder what membership really cost them. Then, there are other houses that do not use the Greek paddles for anything more than a way to commemorate one's involvement in the sorority or fraternity.

If you are planning on becoming part of a Greek organization then you need to plan on proudly displaying your involvement through clothes, stickers, and accessories. There is just something about being part of a Greek organization that makes people want to display their involvement. If you are really interested in going Greek then you should consider all that will be required of you and remember what you are getting yourself into. There are a lot of benefits of being part of a Greek organization, but there are drawbacks as well.
